  It's the best grocery store in an area of crappy grubby stores. They offer a tiny bit more variety and are better -but hardy perfect- about removing expired food from sale. It should be noted that, as a company, Kroger was opposed to legislation in Texas that supported equal pay for women.

  I've been to this store a few times and never had a problem until recently. There was a caucasian bagger with blonde hair ( I think her name started with a K) that left the register right before I was getting checked out. I was with my sister and I had to bag our groceries. No other employee came to help and noticed people staring. Conveniently, when I finished bagging the groceries the young blonde bagger came back to the register and didn't offer any apology my having to bag my own groceries. I would understand if the store was short on baggers but they weren't. I believe she left on purpose because she didn't want to bag our groceries because my sister and I are black.
